VEGA announces «L’appel du vide» and a 2027 anniversary tour
VEGA announces L'appel du vide for November 13, ahead of a new album and a 13-city tour in 2027.

The most personal element of a song can sometimes be hidden in its rhythm. Spanish songwriter VEGA has announced «L’appel du vide», the first single from her next album, for November 13, 2026. Its recurring pulse is built from her own heartbeat, recorded with a digital stethoscope and transformed into a musical loop.
The French expression in the title, often translated as «the call of the void», describes the startling impulse some people feel near a precipice. VEGA uses it as an image for love that is uncertain and slipping away. She describes a composition that gradually intensifies toward a climax.
Ricky Falkner returns as producer. That continuity is notable because the release also marks changes behind the scenes: after many years of running La Madriguera Records independently, VEGA is partnering with Mushroom Pillow for the album, while Artica Agency handles management and booking.
Making a heartbeat into an instrument
Using her recorded heartbeat is more than a striking promotional detail. Pop songs frequently invoke the heart as metaphor; VEGA is placing an actual sound from her body into the arrangement and converting it into a repeating pulse. An organic, imperfect rhythm becomes a musical structure, bringing together intimacy and technology in a song about love, uncertainty and the urge to move toward something dangerous.
There is an important boundary, however: we know the concept, the involvement of producer Ricky Falkner and the artist’s description of the song’s gradual build. Until November 13, no responsible account can judge whether this production decision succeeds as music. The eventual recording must answer that question.
Twenty-five years on stage
The accompanying tour celebrates a quarter-century of performances and starts in February 2027. Thirteen initial stops have been announced: Bilbao, Gijón, Valladolid, Alicante, Granada, Valencia, Huesca, Barcelona, Seville, Murcia, Málaga, León and Santiago de Compostela.
For an artist who has long defended creative independence, the new partnerships are presented as choices rather than a retreat from self-management. The more important test will be how the forthcoming songs sit alongside a career already spanning different musical chapters.
A single still waiting for release
«L’appel du vide» has not been released yet; November 13 is its confirmed debut date. This is an announcement about the song’s concept and the tour, not a review of music that the public cannot yet hear. Ticket and tour information is available on VEGA’s official website.
