Fionn Regan announces ‘Berlin, Berlin’, an album led by instinct
Fionn Regan announces his eighth album, ‘Berlin, Berlin’, recorded in just a few days and introduced by ‘Hurricane Bruise’.

Fionn Regan is trusting instinct again.
The Irish singer-songwriter will release Berlin, Berlin on 22 January 2027, alongside the launch of his own Cormorant Bird label in partnership with Secretly Distribution.
His eighth album was made under an unusual principle: don’t overthink it. Recorded in East London in only five or six days, it aims for something minimal, immediate and largely untouched by overproduction.
First single “Hurricane Bruise” also opens the record, introducing a more nocturnal world than its predecessor O Avalanche. Where that album drew on the sunlit landscapes of Mallorca, Berlin, Berlin moves through winter light, cities after dark and characters seemingly searching for a way out.
Regan points to the rich tones and black-and-white imagery of classic Italian cinema as one reference. The album works almost like a notebook: images connected by resonance rather than explanation.
Its ten songs arrive more than two decades after The End of History established Regan as one of contemporary folk’s distinctive voices and earned a Mercury Prize nomination.
An extensive UK and European tour will follow between February and April 2027.
In an era built around polishing, measuring and correcting, Fionn Regan has chosen another route: record quickly and let the songs decide.
