Live music isn’t only changing on stage. It’s changing behind it too.

Madrid will host the first Spanish-speaking Music Industry and Major Arenas Forum on 6 October, bringing professionals from Spain and Latin America together to discuss some of the live sector’s biggest challenges.

Held at the Movistar Arena’s Sala Truss, the event will combine industry discussion and networking around two central themes: artist circulation across the Atlantic and the technological, sustainable and business transformation of live entertainment.

The first panel will be moderated by Movistar Arena Madrid director Paz Aparicio and feature Gabriel Dantur of Movistar Arena Buenos Aires, promoter and manager Isabel Sánchez, A.R.T.E. president and Leiva manager Paco López, and Music by Spain director Celia Carrillo.

A second discussion, moderated by Baila.FM CEO Xavi Bartrolí, will bring together Amazon Music Spain director Claire Imoucha, Edu Valverde of Experiencias Visuales, Agustín Cárdenas Fernández and Last Tour CEO Yurdana Burgoa.

The forum will close with proposed future collaboration between Spain and Latin America and an ambition to establish the event as an annual meeting point for the Spanish-speaking music industry.

The programme begins at 16:00 and will also be streamed on YouTube.

Beyond the size of the venues, the discussion points to a bigger question: how can Spanish-language live music grow while keeping markets, artists and audiences connected?
