The Son of Wood release Fauno, produced by Diego Galaz, ahead of their November 6 album.
The Son of Wood — Fauno. Released on October 16, «Fauno» is a final preview of the Salamanca band’s upcoming album, due November 6. Drawing on the mythological faun, the song portrays an intense romantic encounter and reflects the musicians’ own commitment to a project they have pursued for nearly a decade. Its indie-rock sound features dramatic vocals and orchestral touches.
Songs and musical direction
The single was recorded at Garate Studios in Andoain with Kaki Arkarazo. Diego Galaz, associated with Fito & Fitipaldis and productions for La M.O.D.A. and Rozalén, produced the track. Lucas Piedra handled mixing and Jaco Naya mastering.
Background and live plans
The Son of Wood have released four previous records and blended folk, rap and rock throughout their career. Their achievements include a 2024 MIN Awards nomination, participation in Girando Por Salas and performances for Radio 3. The new single adds a stronger indie-rock dimension to their sound.
