Inverfest is beginning to reveal the shape of its thirteenth edition before January even arrives. Road to Inverfest will warm up Madrid with shows from Carlangas, Víctor Manuel and Miguel Ríos before the festival expands into a much broader programme between January and March 2027.

The first date comes on 30 October at La Riviera, where Carlangas will present Universo Paralelo at a Halloween party with guests including Dear Joanne, Los Galgos, Vera Fauna, Ortiga and Joe Crepúsculo. The focus then shifts to the Movistar Arena for Víctor Manuel on 29 November and Miguel Ríos on 8 December.

Much more than a warm-up

What makes Road to Inverfest interesting is that it is no longer behaving like a simple prologue and is starting to look like a parallel season. Carlangas arrives with a show designed as an event, Víctor Manuel presents new work alongside the Coro Minero de Turón and Miguel Ríos closes a large-scale tour. These are not minor dates placed before the festival; they have identities of their own.

That approach fits Inverfest’s evolution in recent years. The festival no longer depends on one venue or a short window of dates, but spreads across very different spaces in Madrid and Zaragoza, from arenas to theatres and clubs.

Madrid spreads across arenas, theatres and clubs

The Movistar Arena will host some of the biggest draws, including Niña Polaca, Mikel Erentxun / Duncan Dhu, Barry B, Sidecars, Carlos Ares and Antoñito Molina, alongside the earlier Víctor Manuel and Miguel Ríos shows.

La Riviera will carry one of the densest calendars, with Cariño, Tanxugueiras, Sho-Hai, Funambulista, Vera Fauna, La Cabra Mecánica, Los Enemigos, Califato 3/4, Natalia Lacunza, Xoel López, Los Zigarros and Standstill among others. Teatro Circo Price and Teatro Albéniz complete the map with more theatrical formats tailored to those rooms.

Inverfest also looks beyond Madrid

Zaragoza keeps its own programme with Fernandocosta, Cariño, Los Enemigos, La Bien Querida, Yerai Cortés, Xoel López, Tanxugueiras, Kiko Veneno, Carlos Sadness and Rodrigo Cuevas among others. More artists and venues are still to be announced.

The result is a line-up that mixes generations, styles and venue sizes without forcing everything into one weekend. That spread may be one of Inverfest’s strengths: instead of competing for attention over three days, it settles into the city’s music calendar for months.
