Bewis de la Rosa blends childhood memories and urban rhythms on «PIN PON»
Bewis de la Rosa shares PIN PON from forthcoming album El hogar en la linde, due February 26, 2027.

A childhood song can carry far more memory than its simple melody suggests. Spanish artist Bewis de la Rosa has released «PIN PON», a new preview of her second album «El hogar en la linde», scheduled for February 26, 2027. Her distinctive «rural rap» approach now meets the urban rhythm known as reparto and a song many listeners first heard as children.
The combination serves an intimate story. «PIN PON» is about remembering a mother who is no longer present, and the lullabies she once sang. Its energetic production stands in deliberate contrast to the grief and tenderness of that memory. The result resists the expectation that sorrow must always sound slow or restrained.
A familiar melody in a new setting
Bewis has consistently treated rural culture as a living part of the present rather than a picturesque image of the past. Here, a traditional children’s melody becomes material for contemporary songwriting. It connects a shared musical memory with a private experience of loss.
The same interest in crossing musical languages runs through the announced album. Bewis has also collaborated with artists including Rozalén and Collado, and appeared on «Amores» with La Mare and El Nido in 2026. Those encounters are part of a wider musical world that rarely stays within one genre.
More than a nostalgic reference
A childhood melody arrives with associations already attached: voices, rooms, relatives and habits that listeners may remember before hearing any new words. That gives «PIN PON» an unusual emotional starting point. Bewis de la Rosa takes something seemingly innocent and lets it carry an adult experience of bereavement, turning the familiar into a different kind of song.
The stylistic choice matters too. Reparto brings a contemporary rhythmic language into contact with her rural-rap identity. Neither tradition nor urban music has to disappear for the combination to work: both can preserve memory and carry it into new spaces. The strongest idea here is the relationship between what we inherit and what we transform.
The road to a second album
«El hogar en la linde» is still months away, so this is an opportunity to understand one of its themes rather than judge an unheard full-length record. «PIN PON» suggests that memory, contemporary rhythm and traditional song can exist together without canceling each other’s emotional force.
What makes the single notable is not simply the novelty of its stylistic mixture. It is the way a sound associated with childhood becomes a space to address absence, affection and the difficult work of carrying a loved one’s memory forward.
