Life moves fast. We switch screens, songs and trends almost without noticing. But what happens to the things that truly matter?

That question lies at the heart of “Velocidad”, the new single from Madrid band Capitán Mandarina, released on October 9, 2026 as the third preview of their forthcoming album Caminos.

From channel surfing to swiping

With humour and a contemporary perspective, the song addresses the constant pressure to keep up, digital distractions and the feeling that there is never enough time. Its reference to the shift from television channel surfing to scrolling on a phone suggests that technology changes faster than human habits.

Yet “Velocidad” is not simply a critique of modern life. Beneath its observations lies an affectionate declaration of commitment: some relationships deserve to endure even when everything around them changes.

Another step towards Caminos

Following “El Faro” and “Tablas”, the band continues to introduce Caminos, a forthcoming ten-track album marking a new chapter in its career. Capitán Mandarina previously performed at Madrid venues including Joy Eslava and La Riviera, and appeared on bills alongside Dani Martín and Hombres G.
