GUADA and Kevin Johansen celebrate the everyday on «La vida»
GUADA's new single La vida features Kevin Johansen and previews her 2027 album Los días inmortales, produced by Lucas Piedra Cueva.

The most important things in a life are not always its most visible achievements. On «La vida», Spanish-Argentine singer-songwriter GUADA takes stock of the relationships, gestures and experiences that deserve her attention. Joined by Kevin Johansen, she released the single on 29 October 2026 as the first preview of «Los días inmortales», her next album, expected in early 2027.
An inventory of what matters
The song draws strength from a nearly mantra-like melodic structure and a lyric that names the things the writer wants to keep close. Rather than build a single dramatic plot, GUADA works through accumulation. That approach captures something about everyday decisions: their significance often emerges through repetition rather than a sudden revelation.
Johansen is a particularly fitting partner. His music has moved for decades among folk, pop and Latin American songwriting, often finding space for humour and ordinary observation. Their duet feels aligned around a shared interest in language and melodic directness, rather than a guest appearance added for visibility.
The next chapter after «Algo familiar»
GUADA explored personal connections on «Algo familiar». Her forthcoming album, recorded and produced by Lucas Piedra Cueva, appears to expand the questions toward how people choose to spend their time. Piedra Cueva has also worked on Jorge Drexler’s «Taracá», bringing experience of contemporary Ibero-American songwriting without fixing this new project to one narrow genre.
The official credits show the arrangement’s depth: Guadalupe Álvarez Luchía wrote the song and performs vocals, acoustic guitar and backing vocals; Johansen joins on vocals. César García Miranda plays keyboards, Jacob Reguilón bass, Javier Quintana guitars and Mario Carrión drums. Piedra Cueva adds percussion and backing vocals, joined by other singers.
More than a feel-good slogan
«La vida» could be reduced to an invitation to appreciate small things, but its underlying question is more demanding: what should we stop giving our time to? That tension between gratitude and discernment adds substance to its accessible, warm musical language.
The full album has been announced for the opening weeks of 2027, with no exact date yet confirmed in the materials received. The single is already available to hear and offers a thoughtful introduction to an artist connecting the two sides of the Atlantic through song.
