Azier — Peleas de gallos

Azier have released “Peleas de gallos”, the final preview before their forthcoming album of the same name, due at the end of October. The release has another notable angle: it marks Juancho Sidecars’ first step into production.

The collaboration grows out of a shared environment. Azier and Juancho are connected to the musical ecosystem around Alameda de Osuna, making this feel closer to a collaboration between people from the same scene than a conventional artist-producer pairing.

An album surrounded by familiar names

“Peleas de gallos” was recorded at Estudio Uno with musicians including Ruly of Sidecars, César Pop and Nando Campos. Across the wider album, Ramiro Nieto, Pachequín, Angie Sánchez and Rosco also appear.

The new record expands Azier’s ground towards pop-rock, indie and roots-oriented American music. Before this release, the band issued Donde da la vuelta el viento in 2023 and the Verte cantar EP in 2025.

Madrid will be the first major stop

The album will be presented live on 28 November at Sala Siroco in Madrid. “Peleas de gallos” therefore arrives as the final piece before the band reveals the full record.

For Azier, the move has two interesting dimensions: consolidating a new chapter and doing so with a producer who comes from the same wider scene as the band.
