Napoleón Solo return after eleven years with a new album due in 2027
The Granada band confirm their return after almost eleven years away from recording, with a new album due in early 2027.

Napoleón Solo are back.
The Granada band have confirmed their reunion and are currently working on a new studio album, due in early 2027 through El Volcán Música. A first taste of the record is expected this autumn.
It will be their first new material since Máximo Ruiz Ferrer, released in 2015, ending an almost eleven-year recording hiatus.
Formed in Granada in the late 2000s, Napoleón Solo became one of the most distinctive names to emerge from the city’s independent pop scene. Their debut, Napoleón Solo en la Ópera (2010), was followed by Chica Disco (2012), produced by Café Tacvba’s Emmanuel del Real, and Máximo Ruiz Ferrer in 2015.
Tracks such as “Lolaila Carmona”, “Tiene que acabar” and “Antes de que ocurriera” helped define a musical world where pop, psychedelia, unpredictable arrangements and a highly individual sense of melody could coexist.
The band’s absence did not mean its members stopped making music. Alonso Díaz has pursued his own work while collaborating with artists including Dellafuente, Soleá Morente and Los Planetas, with other members remaining active across Granada’s music scene.
Now Napoleón Solo are coming back with more than nostalgia: there are new songs and a fourth album on the way.
Eleven years later, it is time to find out what Napoleón Solo sound like now.
