Anora Kito and AIXA celebrate individuality on new EP «Universal»
Castellón band Anora Kito present six-track EP Universal, featuring AIXA on the title single.

What if being difficult to classify were the most universal quality of all? Castellón group Anora Kito explore that idea on «Universal», the title song of their new six-track EP. The single features vocalist AIXA and turns a catalogue of eccentric descriptions into an argument for accepting people who do not fit neatly into expected categories.
Its lyrics sketch a character through contradictory labels — strange, original, absurd, mystical and almost paranormal. The accumulation has a comic effect, but the theme behind it is recognizable: our impulse to judge other people before we have tried to understand them.
Humour rather than a solemn declaration
AIXA brings another voice into the band’s melodic pop-rock approach, while David Van Bylen handles the mix. Instead of presenting individuality as a grand slogan, the group works with jokes, exaggeration and catchy musical ideas. The choice gives the track a personality of its own and keeps the message rooted in songwriting.
Six songs, one developing identity
The EP includes «Bailemos», «Sin mí», «Universal», «Vacilas», «A tiempo parcial» and «Paréntesis». Its subjects range from personal relationships to doubts and contradictions. The short format allows the group to present several facets of its sound without treating the title track as the entire release.
«Universal» follows the band’s 2023 debut album «La gravitación de Kito», produced by Carlos Hernández Nombela. The earlier record was supported by concerts in venues and festivals, giving the musicians time to shape an identity based on direct melodies and energetic arrangements.
Five musicians from Castellón
The EP is produced by the band with Pau Ortiz of NÜ Estudi. Anora Kito are Óscar Barchino on lead vocals and guitar, Santiago Enrique Vilar on guitar and backing vocals, Sergi Navarro on bass and second vocals, Joan Buonamisis on drums and backing vocals, and Albert Rico on keyboards.
Beyond the guest appearance, the release is a chance to discover a band refining its approach without losing its sense of humour. The central idea fits the music itself: finding one’s own space rarely means fitting somebody else’s mould.
