The Strokes return to Barcelona on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, for their only announced Spanish date at Palau Sant Jordi. The New York band, fronted by Julian Casablancas, bring their Reality Awaits era to the city. The venue currently lists the concert as sold out.
A long-awaited return to Barcelona
The Strokes played Barcelona’s Pavelló de la Vall d’Hebron on December 8, 2003, during the Room on Fire period. More than two decades later, the band return with a new chapter and a catalogue that has helped shape alternative rock since Is This It arrived in 2001.
Tracks including “Last Nite”, “Someday” and “Reptilia” remain landmarks in their discography, although the exact Barcelona setlist has not been announced.
Reality Awaits: a new chapter
Reality Awaits, the band’s seventh studio album, follows 2020’s The New Abnormal. According to Live Nation’s press announcement, some recording sessions took place in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin, while “Going Shopping” was among the songs introducing this era.
The Barcelona show is part of the band’s 2026 international live schedule, bringing their recent material together with songs from previous albums.
Fat White Family and Alex Cameron join the bill
Fat White Family and Alex Cameron are also listed on Live Nation’s official concert bill, adding two distinctive acts to the evening.
