Spanish duo Amaral will perform a special acoustic set on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Madrid’s Círculo de Bellas Artes. The appearance forms part of Petisco Hematofesti, a free event requiring advance reservation or invitation that brings together music, comedy and literature ahead of the festival’s next edition in Vigo in April 2027.
An intimate appearance, not a full concert
Eva Amaral and Juan Aguirre will perform a selection of songs in a stripped-back setting. The programme also features comedian Ignatius Farray and writers and performers Paula Carballeira and Lucía Aldao, joined by Eris Mackenzie. The event runs from 11:45 am to 2 pm and includes a Galician food tasting. This should not be presented as a full-length Amaral show, nor as unrestricted walk-in access: attendance must be confirmed in advance.
Why Hematofesti exists
The festival began in 2024 through an idea developed by Miguel A. López, known online as El Hematocrítico, writer Ledicia Costas and illustrator-filmmaker Alberto Vázquez. Following López’s unexpected death in 2023, the project also became a way to honour his legacy while bringing illustration, children’s literature, music, comedy and video games into the same cultural space.
Two November events ahead of April 2027
Costas will announce details of Hematofesti’s third edition, scheduled for Vigo in April 2027. Alongside the Madrid gathering on November 14, another Petisco Hematofesti is planned for Vigo on November 21. For music fans, the attraction is a rare opportunity to hear Amaral in a small acoustic context within a wider multidisciplinary programme.
A cultural event rather than a conventional gig
Petisco Hematofesti is unusual because it invites audiences from different disciplines into the same room. Amaral’s appearance may bring visitors who do not usually attend events focused on children’s literature, while readers and illustration enthusiasts encounter live music in an unusually intimate format. The programme continues the festival’s broader idea of bringing different storytelling traditions together. Advance confirmation is essential; an invitation addressed to media should not be passed off as an unrestricted booking link for the public.
