El Niño Erizo turn nine years of persistence into new single «Una y otra vez»
Jaén indie-rock band El Niño Erizo release Una y otra vez on October 30, produced by Pachi García ahead of a December album.

Keeping an independent band together for nine years involves far more than writing a memorable chorus. There are rehearsals, long journeys, small venues and missed opportunities alongside the moments that make it worthwhile. El Niño Erizo have turned that experience into «Una y otra vez», their new single released on 30 October 2026 and the second preview of an album scheduled for December.
The invisible work behind independent music
Rather than promising overnight success, the song focuses on the ordinary persistence required to keep a music project alive. It follows «Coordenadas», the previous single from the Jaén band, and speaks from a position of experience rather than nostalgia. For audiences who mainly encounter artists through streaming figures, it offers another view of what a musical career actually entails.
The group describe synthesizers working alongside forceful guitars and a direct melodic chorus. Their reference points include the melodic reach of Spanish indie rock and the British pop of bands such as Blur and James. These names provide context, not a substitute for considering the band’s own arrangement and lyrical point of view.
Pachi García and the band’s evolving sound
«Una y otra vez» was written by singer and guitarist León García and produced and recorded at Alis Records in Baeza by Pachi García (Alis). Their continuing partnership has helped the group introduce electronic layers while retaining an energetic guitar-led character. The production history matters because this is another step in an ongoing creative relationship, not an isolated experiment.
The six-piece lineup is León García on vocals and guitar, Daniel Navarro on keyboards, Miguel Beltrán on bass, Raúl Sena and Fran Montoro on guitars, and Javier Pulido on drums. Beginning in 2017, they released «El problema se resuelve con abrazos» in 2018, «Y mi respuesta es…» in 2020 and subsequent recordings including «ENE» and 2025’s «Único Objetivo».
What comes in December
A new album is expected in December 2026, with live dates to follow. No full tour itinerary was included in the announcement, so it would be premature to provide venues or dates. For now, the progression from «Coordenadas» to «Una y otra vez» makes a coherent statement: the band is still finding new directions by continuing the work it started years ago.
The single’s appeal goes beyond a familiar motivational message. It describes a kind of perseverance that remains mostly invisible, even though independent scenes are built on it.
